Multipolar Dialogue

Moved by the awareness of possible growing diffidence between certain citizens from Est and West, two years ago a group of citizens from different countries of Europe have been carrying on a dialogue called ‘Multipolar’ between East and West with various people.

Organized by Multipolar Dialogue, the event offered a rich mixture of lectures, talks, dialogues, and best practices, creating a dynamic space for sharing experiences and knowledge. Attendees engaged in thought-provoking dialogues on a range of topics, such as, sustainable development, biodiversity, integral ecology and noise reduction. In addition to these dialogues, participants had the opportunity to share their experiences, such as initiatives like school and community gardens, “Greening Africa Together“, “Grüne Dach Impulse” while they also were protagonists in workshops.

The 3 days interactive meeting with changing dynamics: workshops; dialogs and visits promoted aspects of the importance of European rules and warning, giving tools to discover “fake news”. Various workshops promoted the aspects of “dialogue“; practicing it f.i. in encouragement to share with each other what perception we have of each other country, group.. and with the question whether and how much the mass media directs us towards this. The dynamic of “dialogue”; of listening/reciprocity helped to create an atmosphere of trust and openness; to enter into the world of the other”. The degree of participation was fully and with enthusiasm, and the appreciation of diversity between visions and cultural backgrounds became more positively received.
