Project Description

Project Summary

To get a clearer idea of the current global social context it is necessary to emphasize two crucial aspects:

a) The elevated mobility of services, data, and stock which we can control in real time leads to the reset of space and time factors and to a significant loss in the individuals’ ability to influence such global processes.

b) The elevated mobility of people regarding every continent. According to the annual report of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in the world there are at least 19.5 mln refugees, 38.2 mln of people moving inside their own country and 1.8 mln people waiting to be granted the refugee status.

Today we are witnessing a historical moment when interdependence is a relevant factor not only for political scientists and economists. It is a given fact of a global scale involving, indeed, each single person on Earth.
