Nairobi 2025

CITIES COMMUNITIES, CARE.
YOUTH IN ACTION FOR SUSTAINING PEACE
On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the United Nations, the initiative titled “Cities, Communities, Care. Youth in Action for Sustaining Peace” will highlight the role of cities, the building of peaceful relationships, and the commitment of young people as drivers of change. With its main hub in Nairobi and connections to five cities around the world, this international journey will culminate in a global event from November 10 to 12, 2025.
In a global context marked by deep crises, this moment aims to be a space for dialogue, reflection, and concrete proposals, in synergy with the UN Agencies based in Nairobi and other institutional partners. Young people from different countries, including participants of the Together for a New Africa program, will share experiences, ideas, and visions for a sustainable future. The event is addressed to mayors, administrators, civil and religious leaders, citizens, researchers, and anyone committed to promoting peace, justice, and care for communities.

Alongside tutors and lecturers from 14 sub-Saharan countries, concluding the three-year training program by gathering and evaluating its results. Following this, youth representatives and tutors will also participate in the International Event in person.
