Ecology and Spirituality: A New Alliance?

The last 28th of October, Mr. Jorge M. Dias Ferreira – the main Representative of New Humanity in Geneva intervened during the “Cafe Wisdom of Humanity”. This was an interreligious event entitled “Ecology and Spirituality: A New Alliance?” and organised by the Root and Sources Foundation and by the Institute of the Arab and Mediterranean Cultures.

Mr Ferreira participated into the debate at the core of the event – which has been held at the “L’Olivier Café”, in Geneva – as psychologist and theologist and he introduced the catholic point of view about the main theme of the event. Participants and rapporteurs particularly appreciated Mr Ferreira’s reference to the “Laudato Si'” Encyclical: this is the new document written by Pope Francis, just centered on the environmental issues.

During the debate, in a very positive and fruitful atmosphere, interacted with Mr Ferreira various religious personalities: Mr Jean-Marc Falcombelo, President of the Buddhist Center of Montchardon, Grand Rabbi Marc Raphael Guedj and Mr Amin Moayedoddin, a muslim psychatrist.
