Archived Documents: New Humanity Presents the First Atlas of Universal Fraternity
As part of the Sharing with Africa event, the first edition of the Atlas of universal fraternity was launched in Nairobi on 1st May. Sponsored by New Humanity, it is a report containing 800 fragments of fraternity, acts of courage which multiply in cities building bridges among people, groups and cultures, opening roads to dialogue and indicatingĀ new paths for communities to follow.
The document is the result of the first year’s work of the United World Project, the project of Youth for a United World launched in Budapest in 2012 to promote the principle-value of universal fraternity. The analysis of the fragments of fraternity is the fruit of the labours of a scientific committee composed of professors and students from the Sophia University Institute who, in this first edition, examine the good practices promoted all over the world from September 2012 to September 2013.
This is a genuine journey of ideals along and between the globe’s meridians and parallels and one which demonstrates how well fraternity is operating as a factor for positive change all over the world.
