The good of each human person is a precondition for the good of everyone
The 57th session of the Commission for Social Development (11-21 February, 2019) was the opportunity for the international NGO New Humanity to present some good practices and experiences carried out by the members of the Focolare Movement on the theme of economic and social freedom.
Paul Catipon, President and CEO of Netpro Communications Inc. presented the experience of his company and of the Economy of Communion, at the International Forum for Social Development at the United Nations.
The representatives of New Humanity in New York and five other NGOs have produced an abbreviated version of the Global Compact for Migration (GCM), on behalf of the NGO Committee on Migration (CoM), with the aim of facilitating its understanding and wide-range spread. The document "A Glance at the Global Compact for Migration" contains an outline of the GCM that will be approved at the Intergovernmental Conference on Migration, taking place in Marrakesh, Morocco, in December 2018.
